Electrical compliance, done by engineers
Caledonian Compliance Limited was founded by an HNC-qualified Electrical Engineer who had seen too much of the compliance industry treat safety as a box to tick. We built this business on the opposite belief: that a test is only worth doing if it genuinely protects the people using the equipment.
Qualified, not just certified
Our lead engineers hold Higher National Certificates in Electrical Engineering and work to the current IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671). That matters more than it sounds. A short PAT certification course teaches you to operate a tester; an engineering background teaches you to understand what a borderline reading actually means, and what to do about it.
What makes us different
- Specialists, not generalists. We focus on portable appliance testing and in-service inspection rather than general electrical contracting. Depth beats breadth when the deliverable is evidence.
- Transparent pricing. Fixed-price packages published openly, so you know the cost before we arrive.
- Documentation that earns its keep. Digital certificates and a full asset register, issued fast and written to be read.
- Honest results. We will tell you when something has passed, when it has not, and when it is borderline — including when that is inconvenient.
Who we work with
Our clients across Glasgow, Paisley, Falkirk and Lanarkshire (G, PA, FK and ML postcodes) range from single boutiques and independent cafés to commercial offices, schools and residential property portfolios. The premises differ; the obligation does not.
Our mission
To raise the standard of electrical compliance in Scotland by delivering rigorous, engineering-led safety testing that puts protection of life and property ahead of speed.
